Vote Lonnie Lewis at the Primary Election on July 21, 2026!
I’m Lonnie Lewis, the current appointed incumbent for the La Paz County School Superintendent’s Office, serving with one clear purpose: to work tirelessly and deliver results for the students, educators, and communities of La Paz County.
I am a combat Veteran of Foreign Wars with more than twelve years of honorable military service in the United States Navy, where I served as a Corpsman. I bring proven leadership, accountability, discipline, and a mission-first mindset to public service. I am an educator, coach, and mentor, deeply involved in community youth programs and incentives that strengthen our schools and invest in the future of our county for this generation and the next to come.
I have proven to be and continue to be trustworthy, motivated, dedicated, and energetic — a man of action, not words. I am a leader who rolls up his sleeves and has accepted this position to ensure the job is actually getting done. I did not step into this role as a steppingstone or retirement plan, but to set a higher standard for the office and ensure it reflects the needs and expectations of the communities it serves. I know it is a responsibility, and I treat it that way every day.
Since taking the seat, I have begun moving the office in a new, highly involved direction — one that demands accountability, collaboration, and results. I set clear expectations and align them directly with what La Paz County communities need and want. I actively advocate for our educational priorities with legislators and local government agencies, while building strong, lasting relationships with educators and stakeholders that benefit students and families across the county.
Career-minded and committed to service, I am working tirelessly earning the trust of the community and identifying every opportunity for our kids, strengthening our education system, and building an office — and a reputation — that La Paz County can be proud of.
I am here to lead, to succeed, and to work for you, La Paz County.
